meet the artist

I’m Darya Dubrovskaya, a photographer based in London.

I’m interested in the way women see themselves — the distance between self-perception and reality.

We grow up surrounded by expectations about beauty, femininity and worth. Over time, these ideas become so familiar that many women stop seeing themselves clearly.

Through photography, I explore identity, visibility and the many ways women navigate being seen.

My work sits between portraiture, editorial storytelling and commercial imagery.

    you don’t need to think about posing - I guide you through the whole process
    before the shoot, we shape the mood together — references, feelings, textures, light. I can help with styling, outfits, and choosing a location or studio that matches your energy.

    during the session, there is no rush.
    we follow your pace.
    both studio and outdoor. studio rent is paid separately (£40/hour, £80 for 2 hours)

    we shoot in soft natural light — early mornings or closer to sunset, when everything feels the most alive and cinematic

    we shoot in beautiful, quiet outdoor spots in London — like Hampstead Heath or Richmond Park — where we can find hidden corners and space just for you

    if the weather shifts, I always keep extra days for flexibility and rescheduling

    during the session, there is no rush
    we follow your pace, your mood, your rhythm
